These docs went live at docs.islamenc.com. They describe the API as it is on this date:

  • The Quran with translations by edition, the book library with phrase-aligned translations and PDF and Word copies, and the encyclopedias with categories, properties and the hadith vocabulary in 100+ languages.
  • Hybrid search by words and meaning (GET /hybrid-search, GET /quran/search), keyword search, suggestions and category facets. A question’s embedding is prefetched while it is typed on the site and cached across restarts; the API waits at most 1.5 s for it before answering by words (semantic: false). Typical answer: 250 to 500 ms.
  • A rate limit of 10 requests per second per address, with bursts of 40.
  • The public contract as an OpenAPI document at /openapi.json, and these pages as Markdown at /llms.txt for assistants.
